Jane A. Stickle: Her Life & Her Quilt

Jane A Stickle is best known for the quilt she finished in 1863. This book is not about how to make the quilt, but rather the story of her life told through census records, court records, deeds, maps, marriage and death records and the occasional newspaper clipping. It allows you to understand the quilt maker herself—to look at the world she knew through her eyes, and maybe travel the same roads.
